  • Wan Ching Foo
    Ms. Foo Wan Ching has always taken an interest in the arts and that led her to pursue a Diploma in TV Production from the Malaysia Institute of Art (MIA) soon after high school. During this time she learned about the relationship and dynamics between stories and characters, and wondered how she could help in making better stories in people’s lives. Following her college mentor’s advice she then embarked on the journey to help young people connect with their gifts and aptitude through education fairs and counseling workshops through initiatives of the Centre for Malaysian Chinese Studies.
  • Mee Lai Shew
    Shew Mee Lai holds a Diploma in Counselling and Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Psychology from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. She is a registered Movement Based Learning (MBL) Instructor. At Breakthru Enrichment Station, Mee Lai facilitates educational development and provides therapeutic support to children and teenagers with special needs and learning challenges.

About The Course

All participants who attended this class went off with a new understanding of supporting the children with special needs with effective tools of building blocks.

This 8-hour experiential course provides an in-depth look at some basic developmental movement patterns with emphasis on how to use a movement based-learning™ program with children of all abilities.

Course Contents: In this workshop, participants will:

    • Discover the technique of using 7 Building Block Activities which support integration of the nervous system.
    • Apply the 7 Building Block Activities for self and children of all abilities.
    • Witness a live demo on how the instructor work with invited special needs children using the building blocks activities and modified Brain Gym® Activities

Therapists, teachers, tutors , elder caregivers and parents as well as anyone in the caring professions will benefit from learning how to assess the needs of an individual, develop a Brain Gym® program to meet those needs, evaluate the effectiveness of the program with ways to modify when necessary for best results.

Movement Based Learning™ Inc. provides excellent applications for a variety of mental and physical challenges including:
